Access Procedures

Access to the Newfoundland and Labrador Personal Property Registry (NF PPR) is provided electronically by ACOL.

This requires an ACOL account with PPR access privileges. To acquire an account, simply follow the ACOL Access Procedures.

Clients may access the PPR via two methods:

  • remote access – from your home or office using your personal computer; and
  • public access terminals located at the Commercial Registrations Division office for the convenience of ACOL clients (registry office staff are prohibited by legislation from entering or searching information in the system on behalf of the client).
Present ACOL clients who want access to the NF PPR should contact the ACOL Client Support Centre and request:
  • the ACOL Addendum to Client Application (to be completed and returned); and
  • the NF PPR Product Description.
These forms are also part of the ACOL Information Kit and are available on this web site.

Once the Addendum has been completed and returned, access privileges will be granted.

Transition Period

Access to documents registered in the old system was available during the two-year transition period. These documents would have retained their priority status for a maximum of two years, and the fee for each search was $10.00. If their expiry date was beyond two years, they must have been re-registered in the new Personal Property Registry within the two-year transition period to retain their priority status.
