Lien Check is here!
Lien Check is now available in New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. Lien Check provides quick and easy access to the Personal Property Registry System (PPRS). Lien Check is available without user pre-registration and requires only a supported web browser, an Internet connection and a portable document format (PDF) viewer such as Adobe® Reader®.
Use Lien Check to search for loans against motor vehicles, boats, trailers, mobile homes, aircraft, and outboard motors. Searches are conducted using the serial number and the province where the item is located. Search fees vary by province. Fees are paid via a secure credit card transaction.
Existing users of the PPRS will recognize that the Lien Check Service is essentially equivalent to a PPRS Serial Number Search. Lien Check simplifies the search process by automatically including all matching registrations in the Search Result Report. The Lien Check Search Result Report is formatted as a PDF file.
This service is a joint initiative between the four Atlantic Provinces through Atlantic Canada On-Line.
